Job Title: Floater - New Accounts Representative/Teller
Reports To: Branch Manager
Department: Retail

Basic Function
Responsible for supporting branch operational activities, assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, offering the bank’s products and services, opening, maintaining, and closing of all account types, performing branch clerical duties, promoting business for the bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate business partners for new services. Drive the acquisition of new business through marketing efforts and growing the brand. This position will require the employee to float to other branches when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process, close, and book, consumer and commercial new accounts including but not limited to –
- DDA’s
- CD’s/IRA’s
- Safe Deposit Boxes
- Debit cards
- Beneficial Ownership
- Review business documentation to determine beneficial owners for new accounts.
- New Account Review for branch
- Debit card maintenance
- Print cards
- Pin cards
- Assist with debit card issues
- Assist customers with ACH & debit card disputes – Visa & Reg E
- Assist customers with online banking issues
- Complete & process wire transfers requests
- Comply with all bank policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. Ensure that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Successful completion of annual training is required.

- Requires good verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, journals and government regulations.
- Ability to work with other lines of businesses within the bank.
- Sales and service-oriented personality, outgoing and professional demeanor required.
- Requires medium proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions.
Education and Experience
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years banking experience in both teller and new accounts preferred.
